Northgate Information Solutions acquired by KKR
Private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) has acquired Northgate Information Solutions (Northgate). The acquisition is implemented by means of a scheme of arrangement which has become effective on 5th March following which KKR controls 100% of the shares of Northgate.

Public sector prepares for gender equality

Councils struggling with equal pay costs
Fewer than half of all local authorities in England and Wales will meet a deadline this month on equal pay for men and women, the Local Government Association said yesterday amid warnings of huge rises in council taxes and thousands of job losses.
Some councils have done nothing to bring in the changes negotiated 10 years ago.
